Kindness and generosity with a lavish sprinkling of love for children in a remote mountain village brought warmth last week.
Irene Scheffer (mother of our defending Champion Leilani Scheffer - Snowflake 1075, four-times winner) knitted over 350 beanies which Irene and Leilani handed to the children in Zakhele last week.
The school closure due to COVID regulations meant that not all the pupils could be with Irene and Leilani, and the School Governing Body will arrange for the remaining beanies to be distributed.
Such a thoughtful, meaningful, and colourful undertaking by Irene. Thank you.
