One thing the past twenty four months has taught is, we have found what we took for granted.

Our Rhodes Trail Run was one of the joys in many lives which was taken for granted, and in turn our annual gathering has missed the joy and camaraderie of our family of runners and crew.

The pupils at the Rhodes Public School have missed their school. Again, taken for granted, the building was destroyed by fire in September 2020. We are so grateful for all the donations which assisted the staff, parents and pupils to put together an arrangement which has seen them through these past two years and will carry them through the forceseeable future.

There was a void in the education process, something that is pretty much taken for granted everywhere else, Wi-Fi.

Into this breach stepped one of our crew, who over more than a decade has assisted not only at our run but also extremely meaningfully at the school.

Earlier this week, with massive thanks to Julia, Wi-Fi went live for the Rhodes Public School, enabling pupils and teachers access which till then was not possible.

This ongoing donation will change lives and create opportunity.

While not wanting the spotlight, it would be seriously remiss of us not to acknowledge this truly significant donation and contribution to the lives of the youngsters in Zakhele.

Thank you Jules.
