We are so grateful that our runners assist us in contributing to the local Rhodes community. Be it by supporting the Friday evening pasta dinner and race day food stalls convened by the Rhodes Christian School, vigorously supporting the local watering holes (The Rhodes Hotel and 'Walkerbouts') or donating to the 'Run To Read' project that last year did phenomenal work thanks to the efforts of Guy 'Polar Bear' Jennings and Apula Advertising & Design.
Our event partners also make significant contributions with UTi Sun Couriers shipping numerous box libraries, parcels of clothing and sports equipment for the children at the Rhodes Public School.
Traditionally the team from DM Kisch Inc pamper the runners at the top of Mavis Bank.
2012 saw a major change in their, and the runners, plans.

Last year, before the weather conspired to keep the Kisch Krew on their toes, and on the move, the team from DM Kisch Inc took it upon themselves to put new life in the Rhodes Public School.
The 'Kisch Krew' worked like absolute Trojans for two days before race day and totally transformed the school. The change was gobsmacking.
The DM Kisch Inc Rhodes Community Project 2012 as described by one of the 'Kisch Krew' -
"This year the Kisch Krew wanted to give something to more than just the runners. The Zakhele Public School was a cause that begged for help! It was a BIG challenge to transform 6 classrooms in a day and a half, we won't lie. We are proud to show you what we achieved in this short time."
