During May 2010 the Rhodes Trail Run made a donation of sports equipment and educational material to the Rhodes Public School.

Part of the donation included a number of Globes and each child in grades 7, 8 & 9 received a maths set.
The previous day the Rhodes Public School had beaten all the visiting teams from Elliott at soccer and netball and the donation of balls for various sports was very well received by the pupils.
After the presentation every child received a snack from the Rhodes Trail Run and additional snacks were left which would be distributed to each child during the following week.
The children sang the National Anthem and a number of other songs to express their appreciation and Sizani Lebohang, the Head Boy, gave an acceptance speech on behalf of the school.
