The Rhodes Police Choir, comprising 70% police members and police reservists and 30% community members of Rhodes, was established in January 2010 with one of it's goals to provide a medium for interaction between the community and police in pursuit of a more peaceful society and to develop relations between the police and public.

During May 2010 the choir sent out an appeal for assistance for the purchase of a much needed keyboard.

The organisers of the Rhodes Trail Run immediately stepped forward and presented members of the choir with the funds needed to purchase their keyboard.
