This past week many of our Rhodes runners have been on the trails and roads, enjoying the privilege of health and the ability to run. Some have joined thousands at formal events others have preferred the solitude running affords us.
Two Oceans will immediately spring to mind and many of our runners renewed their association with that well-trodden route. To pick out three of our Snowflake Number owners, Mark #106 completed his 39th Two Oceans Ultra, Shane #210 his 33rd and Gina #400 her 22rd. Congratulations to you three and all our Rhodes runners.
Three-time Rhodes Run winner and our Defending Champion Kallie Burger (Snowflake Number 1311) took on the 126th Boston Marathon with its 25,000+ finishers. Kallie did exceptionally well and his 2:30 placed him 11th in the 40+ category. Very well done Kallie!
Interested in delving into our traditions and history? A marathon distance north of Boston is Boxford, the home of the 'No Name Athletics Club Petards', who gave their name to our 70+ trophy.
